We are sure that you recognize Lisa’s smiling face if you’ve been hanging around OSS for any length of time. [Fun fact #1] Lisa actually started her career with OSS 30 years ago. A friend, that was an OSS patient, told her that she needed to work here, so she applied in 1989. She worked at the front desk for 3 years before moving to Southern Indiana. She rejoined our team in 1995 when she moved back to the Fort Wayne area. [Fun fact #2] Lisa took a second sabbatical in 2010 for 4 months when her family moved to Mackinac Island.

Lisa is currently one of our front desk team members and greets you when you call the office and walk through the front door. Her self-proclaimed favorite part of her job is getting to chat with patients and their families. She’s actually the first to admit that she would much rather be the “social chairman” — sipping coffee, chatting in the reception area, and [Fun Fact #3] trying to keep the Galaga high score on our arcade games in Warsaw. <<< She takes the game very seriously! HA!

For a number of years, Lisa only worked 1 day a week and that was at the Warsaw office. When she would fill-in on occasion in the Fort Wayne office, the patients and parents thought she was a new employee. Within the last few years, she’s added 2 more days a week to her regular routine and the Fort Wayne families are getting to know her as well.

Lisa is a wife and a mom to two kids. [Fun Fact #4] Her daughter was 18 months old and her son was 6 years old when Lisa and her husband, Scott, adopted them from Russia. She’s a recent empty nester and has moved from the Fort Wayne area to a lake north of Kendallville. Lisa has one of the biggest, loving and compassionate hearts. Her smile is genuine and her kindness shows through with everything she does. She’s a blessing to our team and everyone she meets! Join us in congratulating Lisa on celebrating 24 years with OSS!
