Our Clinic Team, like all of our teams, handle a lot of duties throughout the day. Each clinic team member is responsible for: patient charting, putting braces on, bending/changing wires, patient/parent education, cementing appliances, fitting appliances, taking impressions, cementing/delivering appliances, taking 3D intra-oral scans, taking X-rays/photos and assisting Dr. Aron with any procedures.
Techniques and procedures are ever changing as technology advances, so the clinic meets monthly to communicate and stay up-to-date with all of these changes.
Now that you have more of an insight of what this team does on a daily basis, let’s meet the individuals that make up our Clinic Team.
Alaina
Team member since 2016. Alaina works as a clinic tech at both of our locations. [FUN FACT: Alaina was an OSS patient as a child] She also keeps our clinic manual up-to-date. This is a big task, because as I mentioned there are always advances in techniques/technology. Alaina is another team member that is cross trained. You may see her from time to time working as our sterilization tech. She said her favorite part of being a clinic tech is seeing our patients and their teeth transform over the years. She loves the before and after pictures we give to patients when they get their braces off!
Annie
Team member since 2019. Annie works at both of our locations and also has the responsibility of transferring all of our 3D intra-oral scans from our scanners into the patients’ charts. She said one of her favorite things about her job is seeing the beautiful transformation in the patients’ smiles from start to finish. She said it’s amazing to see how much of a difference it makes in their confidence as well.
Becca
Team member since 2015. Becca is another clinic tech that works at both of our locations, and she recently took on the role as our Clinic Team Leader. Becca also works as a member of our Front Desk Team, so depending on the day she may be greeting you at the Front Desk or working on your teeth in the clinic!
Dawn
Team member since 2007. Dawn works as a clinic tech primarily at our Dupont Road location. On the days that Dawn is not working in the clinic, she is working as one of our Treatment Coordinators. Dawn is also a member of the Marketing Team.
Kelly
Team member since 2004. Kelly works as a clinic tech primarily at our Warsaw location, but you will see her from time to time at our Dupont Road location. [FUN FACT: Kelly was an OSS patient as a child!] Kelly helps train our new clinic team members, is part of the Marketing Team and is our Social Media Coordinator (which means I am the one writing this post! HA!) My favorite part of working in the clinic is the relationships I get to build with the patients/parents and my teammates!
Lindsey
Team member since 2006. Lindsey started her career with OSS as a full-time clinic tech, but has transitioned to working primarily at the Front Desk. We still keep her clinic skills up-to-date by having her cover emergency appointments at our Dupont Road location. Lindsey says her favorite part of working in the clinic is seeing how the teeth transform at each wire change.
Maria
Team member since 2020. Maria works as a clinic tech at both of our locations. [FUN FACT: Maria was a patient at our Warsaw location when she was in high school!]. Maria is also our Certified Spanish Translator.
Marissa
Team member since 2002. Marissa works as a clinic tech primarily at our Warsaw location. She was our Clinic Team Leader for almost a decade and has recently transitioned into the role of our Administrative Support Manager. She said her favorite thing about working in the clinic is the relationships the team has with each other.
Michelle
Team member since 1996. Michelle works in the clinic both of our locations. She is also our Purchasing Manager and a member of our Marketing Team. She said she loves the friendly atmosphere of the clinic and helping create genuine smiles.
Ronda
Team member since 2019. Ronda works as a clinic tech at both of our locations. [FUN FACT: Ronda worked at OSS from 2000-2012 before rejoining our clinic team in 2019]. She is also a member of our Marketing Team.
Sandi
Team member since 1995. Sandi works as a clinic tech primarily at our Dupont Road location. You will see her in our Warsaw office on Thursdays heading up the sterilization area. Sandi also handles all the paperwork for patients that are moving in/out of the area, and she is responsible for tracking patients’ estimated completion dates. Sandi also fills in as a TMD Clinic Tech when needed.
Talisha
Team member since 1991. Talisha started her career with OSS as a full-time clinic tech, but over the years has transitioned to primarily working at the Front Desk. If you’ve noticed a pattern, we love to have team members cross trained in multiple areas of the office and T is no exception. We keep her clinic skills up-to-date by having her continue to work on emergency patients at our Dupont Road and Warsaw locations. Talisha is also our Front Desk Team Leader and Purchasing Assistant. She said her favorite part of working in the clinic in connecting with the patients. She loves to hear what their hobbies are or what sports they like to play.
Tami
Team member since 1981. Tami started her career at OSS as a full-time clinic tech. Working at OSS for 40 YEARS means she is cross trained in almost every department of the office! She works as a member of the Clinic Team, Front Desk Team, the Treatment Coordinator Team and the Financial Team.
Tina
Team member since 2000. All of the above Clinic Team members work in our ortho clinic, but Tina is extra special! She works exclusively with Dr. Ketcham at our Dupont Road location. Her job is to help our TMD patients who suffer from jaw joint disorders. She loves that she gets the opportunity to help patients who are in pain feel better.
Our Clinic Team is full of talent, knowledge and fun! We feel blessed to have such an amazing group of women inspire genuine smiles on a daily basis!
